Dessert Seed Co., Inc. is a third generation closely held family company specializing in breeding and production of short-day onions. Dessert Seed breeds white, yellow and red onions for temperate and tropical climates, in both flat and deep (round) shapes. Dessert Seed uses research facilities in the United States and Mexico to select and breed new onion varieties with increased uniformity, disease resistance, bolting resistance and productivity.
We also specialize in breeding, producing, processing and sales of indoor and outdoor vegetable seeds and we offer over 120 years of combined knowledge of seed and varieties.
